Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and provide essential functionality.

2. Cookies We Use

RadAssist uses only essential cookies required for the Service to function. We do not use tracking, advertising, or third-party analytics cookies.

3. Essential Cookies (Strictly Necessary)

• radassist_token — Authentication token (localStorage). Required to keep you logged in. Cleared on logout.
• radassist_name — Display name (localStorage). Used to personalize the interface.
• radassist_cookie_consent — Records your cookie preference (localStorage). Persists until cleared.
• radassist_session_* — Session state (localStorage). Saves your current work so you can resume after a page refresh. Auto-deleted after 30 days of inactivity.
• radassist_modality / radassist_bodypart — Sticky defaults (localStorage). Remembers your preferred modality and body part selection.

These are all stored in localStorage (not HTTP cookies), meaning they are never sent to our servers automatically. They remain on your device only.

4. Third-Party Cookies

We do not embed any third-party tracking scripts (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.). Our payment processor (Stripe) may set its own cookies during checkout, governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

5. How to Control Cookies

You can clear all RadAssist data at any time by:

• Clicking "Essential Only" on the cookie consent banner
• Using your browser's "Clear Site Data" feature for reportsrad.org
• Logging out (clears authentication data)

6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You have the right to:

• Access your data — use the "Export My Data" button in Settings
• Delete your account and all data — use "Delete Account" in Settings
• Withdraw consent — clear localStorage or contact us
• Data portability — export provides JSON format you can take anywhere

7. Data Retention

Session data in localStorage is automatically cleaned up after 30 days of inactivity. Server-side data is retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, all data is permanently removed within 72 hours.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
