Open the study

Pick the modality and body part, or hit a preset: CT AP, CTPA, HRCT, CXR, MR Liver and the rest are one click. Your usual choices stick between studies. Add the clinical history and a comparison line if you have them.

Say what you saw

Dictate your findings with the mic, your SpeechMike or a foot pedal, or type them. Free text, the way you would speak them. If an image helps set the context, paste, drop or upload up to ten anonymised ones: EXIF and DICOM metadata are stripped in your browser before anything leaves your machine. They are optional.

Four stages run in order and each one reports what it did, with its own timing. The draft lands in the report pane, in your style, with a differential list beside it.

Dictation that knows the anatomy

Speech recognition runs on a model built for medical dictation (Deepgram Nova-3 Medical), with a correction pass on top, so the anatomy comes back spelled the way you said it.

Connect your SpeechMike or foot pedal over USB and bind any button on it, or bind a keystroke: hold-to-record like a dictaphone, or tap-to-toggle. The mic stays warm between takes so the first word is not clipped. English on the medical model; other languages fall back to Whisper.

An optional structure checklist and a review pass over the finished draft.

Checklists exist for seven study types: CT chest, CT abdomen, MR brain, MR knee, MR shoulder, MR spine, US thyroid. The review stage scores the draft, labels issues critical, major or minor, and names checklist structures your text does not mention. It is a prompt to check, not a verdict.

Not a medical device

No UKCA mark, no CE mark, no FDA clearance, no MHRA registration. It has no diagnostic or treatment intended purpose and must not be used for one. Terms, section 8.

Not a second reader

It detects nothing in your images. Anything it writes about an image is draft wording to accept, correct or delete: never a finding you can rely on, and never a reason to change what you saw.

Not a PACS integration

RadReports does not connect to any PACS or RIS. You upload anonymised images or screenshots yourself, one at a time, from wherever you are looking at them.

One radiologist, one company

RadReports is built by a UK CCT trained radiologist, through Aldaim Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, number 17327688, based in Oxford. It is written by someone who reports studies, which is the only credential that matters for whether the drafts read right.

It is one of six products in the Al Daim Digital family, alongside MedEngly, Speak & Stay, TheoryWay, Writing Twin and Nestcote.

Questions radiologists actually ask

What do I actually get back?
A complete structured draft: technique, comparison, findings written out structure by structure, and an impression, in your reporting style if you have set one up, in a sensible default if you have not. Alongside it, a differential list and a review pass that scores the draft and flags what to check. You edit all of it, and you own it.
Do I have to upload an image?
No. Images are optional context, so a draft can be produced from your dictated or typed findings alone. If you do attach them, up to ten per study, stripped of EXIF and DICOM metadata in your browser before upload. You can also leave them attached and tick "draft from my findings only" to have them ignored for a run.
How does it learn my reporting style?
You paste two or three of your own reports into the style wizard. It extracts how you write: bullets or narrative, compact or spacious, whether you include technique and comparison, impression or conclusion or both, precise or approximate measurements, tone, whether you make recommendations, and drafts that way from then on. You can preview the result, change any setting by hand, or delete the profile entirely. It reads samples you choose to paste; it does not watch your work.
Can I dictate with my SpeechMike or foot pedal?
Yes, two ways. In Chrome or Edge, connect the device itself over USB: press any button on it once and that button is bound, the same native device integration an enterprise dictation system uses. Or bind a keystroke through your mic driver instead. Hold-to-record or tap-to-toggle, and it works while the cursor is in the findings box. If you also run PowerScribe or SpeechExec on the same desk, bind a button it ignores (F1 to F4, INS/OVR, EOL) rather than the record slide, and RadReports only reacts while its own tab is focused, so the two never fight over the mic. Worth knowing: this has been verified in code and in the browser, but nobody has yet pressed a real SpeechMike against it.
How accurate is the dictation on medical terms?
Transcription runs on Deepgram Nova-3 Medical, a speech model built for medical dictation rather than a general-purpose one, with a correction pass for common mishears on top. We publish no accuracy percentage, because we have not measured one on your voice and your caseload; the 7-day trial is the honest test. If you are a standalone or independent practice without an enterprise dictation system, this is the part built with you in mind: a medical-vocabulary engine and your own SpeechMike or pedal, in a browser, with no installation, no contract and no per-seat minimum.
Is it a medical device?
No. RadReports has no diagnostic or treatment intended purpose, carries no UKCA or CE mark, holds no FDA clearance and is not registered with the MHRA. It writes report wording and prompts checks. Section 8 of the Terms sets out the regulatory position and where responsibility sits: with you, on every report you sign.
Does it integrate with my PACS?
No. RadReports does not connect to any PACS or RIS, on any plan. You upload anonymised images or screenshots yourself, or paste from the clipboard, and you copy the finished report out. If PACS integration matters to you, say so by email; it does not exist today and we will not pretend otherwise.
Which study types are covered?
Drafting is not restricted by modality: you pick the modality and body part and it drafts accordingly. What is limited is the structure checklist, which exists for seven study types: CT chest, CT abdomen, MR brain, MR knee, MR shoulder, MR spine and US thyroid. Decision-timer reference values cover 19 study types across CT, MR, US and radiographs.
Will it slow down my reading?
We have not measured it and do not claim a time saving. A draft typically comes back in well under a minute; the checklist takes as long as it takes you to confirm each structure, and it is optional. Judge it on your own timing data after a fortnight, which is what the timer is there for.
Why not just use ChatGPT?
You can, and some radiologists do. A general assistant drafts from a blank page every time: it is not built around your reporting style, the structure of a radiology report, or the checks one needs before a signature, and pasting findings into a general chatbot raises governance questions many departments would rather avoid. RadReports keeps the whole loop in one purpose-built place: a style profile learned from your own reports, dictation on a medical speech model, a structure checklist, a review pass, and a draft you edit and sign. Different tools for different jobs; this one does exactly one.
How is this different from a CAD system?
A CAD system marks findings on images and is regulated as a medical device for that purpose. RadReports does neither. It writes words around findings you have already made. Nothing it says about an image should be treated as a detection, and it is not an alternative to a device cleared for one.
Where do my reports and images go?
Images are stripped of EXIF and DICOM metadata in your browser, stored in Cloudflare R2, and a daily job deletes them and their database rows within 24 hours. The study and its draft stay in the database under your account, and the app restores the session you were working on. Saving a report to your Library is a separate, explicit act: you press Save, agree once to storing report text, and from the Library button you can then list, open, rename, pin and delete what you saved. Nothing is saved unless you press Save, and an unpinned report is deleted 12 months after you last edited it. We never ask for patient identifiers and you should not enter them: images are purged within 24 hours, but a report you save to your library is stored on our servers exactly as you wrote it, so de-identify before you save. Under UK GDPR you can export everything as JSON or delete your account and all its data from Settings.
Is RadReports HIPAA compliant?
RadReports is not a HIPAA-covered entity and is not designed to receive PHI: we never ask for patient identifiers and you should not enter them. Images are anonymised on upload and purged within 24 hours. Reports you choose to save to your library are stored as you wrote them, so de-identify before you save. There is no BAA in place today; if your institution requires one, email us before you use it. You remain responsible for complying with your own institution's policies.
What happens after my 7-day Pro trial?
Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your Pro subscription simply continues at the plan you picked. Cancel in time and you pay nothing: your account moves to the Free plan, 5 report drafts a day, every feature still there, and your reports and history stay where they are. There is also a 7-day refund on any payment.
Can I use it for a training programme?
Individually, yes: trainees can use it like anyone else. There is no group, cohort or supervisor view in the product: nobody can see another user's data, including programme directors. If departmental use interests you, email support@reportsrad.org and it would be arranged by hand.
